They then proposed a specific estimate and delivery date, and we were able to gain internal approval to adopt Nippon Shokubai 's "heat-resistant exhaust gas treatment catalyst."

Q Company's other factories were also experiencing problems with exhaust gas treatment. The sulfur components in the exhaust gas were shortening the catalyst's lifespan. When they consulted with a representative from Nippon Shokubai about this issue, they were told that the problem could be solved with a "S (sulfur)-resistant exhaust gas treatment catalyst."
